Multi-State Taxation and Reporting: What Payroll MUST Know

Duration: 90 minutes

Trying to comply with complicated tax codes in different states, withholding requirements and deposit schedules is really frustrating. It’s also scary. Depending on how many states you make mistakes in, penalties can be multiplied by 5, 10, 20, even 50 times.

The overwhelming reality is that your payroll team must know the taxation and reporting requirements for all states where your employees are working (or in some cases, living). Add to that employees who work in multiple states simultaneously or who travel across state lines for work and the taxing and reporting requirements can become an audit disaster.

The questions are many.
Which state gets the SUI tax and which gets the income tax for a nonresident working in the state?
Does the state have disability insurance and is it done through an insurance company or through a payroll deduction?
Does the state follow the IRS Code for taxing Section 125 plans or not?

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Join nationally recognized payroll expert Vicki M. Lambert, CPP for the answer to these questions and more. In this information-packed webinar you will learn:
