How to Build a Culture of Workplace Safety

Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 1pm ET

Duration: 60 minutes

Workplace Safety is something every company – no matter what size or industry – should never take lightly. And to be effective, safety requires a company-wide commitment.

Management must to commit to an established workplace safety process.

Employees must to commit to take personal responsibility for their own safety and the safety of everyone around them—teammates, customers, vendors.

When those two commitments are made and honored, a company can begin to build a culture of workplace safety.
And what, exactly, is a “Culture of Workplace Safety”?

Simply put, it’s a shared set of values, beliefs and procedures that center on employee well-being and physical safety on the job. When this type of culture exists, safety becomes part of the fabric of the company and is reflected in daily operations and at all levels of the organization.

This session will provide you with a blueprint for creating an environment that fosters a safety culture in all aspects of your business. The speaker will guide you through a successful safety management process that will decrease safety incidents and minimize workers’ compensation costs. Plus, he’s show you how to rally your entire organization around your new culture of shared commitment to workplace safety.
